Details
Britannia Storm Water Pumping Station is a part of Brihanmumbai Storm Water Drain (BRIMSTOWAD) project which is launched by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The pumping station aids in mitigating water-logging observed in flood-prone areas of Hindmata area, Abhuyadaya Nagar, Petit Lane, Jijibhoy lane, Madkebua chowk, Kalachowki, Lalbaug and areas surrounding Reay Road and Byculla.
Scope
Civil Works:
- Area of Pumping Station – 2,200 Sq Mtr
- Construction of Cofferdam including excavation, up to 11mtrs in subsoil and marine water conditions (Quantity 13,000 m3)
- RCC Works – Concrete Qty 9,000 m3, Reinforcement Steel (CRS) – 650 MT
- Construction of 20 mtrs high super structure
Electrical & Mechanical Works:
- Diesel Generating Sets – 3 nos – 1650 kVA capacity
- Axial Flow Submersible Pumps – 6 nos with motor of 530 kW, Pump discharge capacity of 6,000ltrs/sec at 6 mtr head.
- Stop Logs – 3.75 mtr x 5.25 mtr
- Sluice Gates – 6 nos – Electrically operated 3.5 mtrs wide x 2 mtr height.
- Mechanical Screens – 6 nos – Multi Raking Screens 3.5 mtr (wide) x 6.7 mtrs (height)
- Anti-Flooding Gates (Mitre Gates) – 2 nos – 3.75 mtr (wide) x 5.2 mtr (height)
- EOT Cranes – 4 nos – 15 to 20 tonnes capacity
- High Tension Panels for DG’s and Pumps. Soft Starters, Dynamic Compensators, Automatic Power Factor Control Panels.
